As Project Manager Clinical Science and Clinical Scientist for the mammography product line, I have been responsible for management of projects within the area of clinical science. This includes large-scale clinical studies (in Europe as well as the US), feasibility investigations, marketing trials and post market surveillance. Study management includes everything from protocol development, milestone management and regulatory compliance to budget responsibility, internal and external stakeholder communication and project team management. The clinical science function reports into Marketing to ensure a strong link between clinical science and product management. There is also a close collaboration with relevant teams such as Q&R, Legal and Service. Main responsibilities: • End-to-end responsibility for setting up, executing and distilling marketing from clinical studies• Develop and maintain key opinion leader networks• Presentations at scientific conferences• Support sales teams with clinical insights as well as through customer presentations• Participation at marketing events such as trade shows and reference site visits• Provide clinical input and voice of customer development projects within mammographyIn this role, I have developed in the following areas:• Clinical science• Business acumen• Project management and administration• Team building and team work• Marketing, in particular key opinion leader management and event management • Relationship management and networking

The Swedish Brain Foundation (Hjärnfonden) is a non-profit organisation devoted to raising money for research and information about the brain and its diseases, injuries and disabilities. I was responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with researchers, universities and institutions and acted as an expert in CSR-related matters and fundraising campaigns. This gave me a good insight into the fascinating world of neurology and the importance of a scientific base in communication and marketing. I greatly enjoyed organizing focus groups and meetings with key researches and thinkers within the field. One of the projects I was in charge of was Hjärnans Dag, a public conference day on recent insights and research related to brain diseases, injuries and disabilities. Organizing Hjärnans Dag in three cities during 2014 and in Stockholm during 2015 was a great challenge and I got to practice and improve my organizational and communication skills. I was responsible from everything from catering and event booking to marketing, sales, scientific program content and budget. I also worked with Hjärnrapporten 2014, where I got to balance different stakeholders and work towards a tight deadline. I also worked with the research grants and the application processes. Since I have a passion for making difficult topics accessible and interesting, I also enjoyed the the opportunity to be responsible for Hjärnfondens social media channels for some time.

The topic of my thesis was: Studies of LXR and CIDEA function in human adipocytes. During my PhD studies, I learned how to manage projects, asses large volumes of information quickly, present scientific data and write reports. I worked with a range of different laboratory techniques including qPCR, Western Blot, cell cultures (primary and cell lines), gene expression, fatty acid oxidation measurements, protein expression essays, ELISA etc. I defended my thesis on February 17, 2012
