The Victoria Cruise & Deep Water Terminal is the largest port of call in Canada handling 227 cruise ship calls and 533000 passengers annually. Had the opportunity to transfer to Western's Victoria location where I assisted in the preparation for the terminal's first Cruise season in two years due to Covid. Some of my responsibilities included:- Operations coordinator for vessels visiting the port - Assisted in event management with clients renting space at the terminal- Involved in the business development team to create new revenue streams for the facility- Contact for the site's storage tenants. Responsible for issuing new contracts, and developing relationships with current and prospective tenants- Coordinate with contractors and manage any necessary repairs and maintenance to the terminalThe Ocean Cleanup was a recurring customer for the delivery of plastics collected in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. We assisted in the vessel's preparation for their 6 week journeys at sea. Being involved in such an inspiring project was a highlight of the position.
