Maintains the operation of Risk Management Ergonomic and Ice Grippers safety programs. Performs ergonomic assessments of workplace, physical setting and/or workstations, and identifies improvement opportunities. Ensures timely processing of workers’ compensation claims; evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation; assists with compliance with state workers’ compensation laws and regulations; provides training and guidance to departmental supervisors & employees. Provides technical assistance to ANTHC staff and supervisors & prepares presentations/program material for meetings. Instructs & educates patients, medical staff, administration, board members, professional and non- clinical staff on areas of Risk Management and Safety. Performs periodic hazard surveillance inspections for assigned units & inspects construction projects with applicable occupational safety standards.
