As a Mental Health Support Worker with Mind Australia's Epping Haven residence, I contribute to providing 24/7 onsite support to NDIS clients living with significant mental ill-health. Work hours vary from morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.In this role, my primary aim is to instil life skills, advocate for the health and wellbeing of residents, facilitate activities of daily living, liaise with care teams/families, offer onsite quotidian groups (i.e., art group, book club, cooking class, etc.), counsel individuals, conduct risk assessments, and help residents achieve their unique NDIS Plan goals while promoting independence and autonomy.

Established in September 2018, the Timmins Youth Wellness Hub (TYWH) provides bilingual programming and services that support the wellbeing of youth aged 12 to 25 and their families in the Timmins community.

In my capacity as an Addictions and Mental Health Worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), I headed the newly devised Central Intake program which improved community outreach and agency efficiency. Additionally, I was routinely rostered on the walk-in/call-in schedule and provided instantaneous intervention for individuals experiencing crises of various severity. This often involved implementing my Livingworks' ASIST certification. These skills were applied when counselling my personal caseload as well.I also participated in our social recreational centre (Intrepid Place) by hosting mindfulness and art-based therapeutic sessions for adults contending with mental health/addiction issues.

As a Child Welfare worker at North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS), I investigated child protection concerns received by the agency which met the Eligibility Spectrum, 2021. By employing the Child Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 (CYFSA) and complying with the Child Protection Standards, 2016, I delivered timely, culturally appropriate and efficient services to ensure the safety of youth and children.

In my role as the primary Child and Youth Mental Health Intake Worker at NEOFACS, I responded to initial mental health referrals/queries submitted by healthcare providers, educational institutions, parents, guardians, and youth. Once the requests were received, I would assess clients' needs and direct them to relevant Agency programs and services. Furthermore, I performed timely risk assessments for at-risk clients and dispatched mobile crisis teams when necessary.

Following my position as a registrar, I was granted a contract extension in the promoted position of Court and Client Representative (CCR). I maintained similar responsibilities but was allocated the business line of 'Pardons and Waivers'. These requests were received via mail or electronically, processed by locating relevant criminal histories and completing the application, and then returned to the appropriate contact.

In my capacity as a registrar, I conducted appropriate opening and closing procedures for criminal and family court. Additionally, I would prepare a range of official paperwork (i.e., sentencing documents, appointments of counsel, bench warrants, case management minutes) in an efficient and accurate manner which I then distributed to crucial stakeholders such as police agencies, family services, correctional institutes, probation officers and legal aid.

As a Psychology Intern at BeAstro Inc., I collaborated on a team which incorporated the biopsychosocial model to develop strategies which would improve educational curriculums. This resembled operationalizing psychological and philosophical principles to devise events and workshops for youth and adolescent populations.

As a member of the Global Marketing and Student Recruitment team at RMIT University, I specialized in scheduling and conducting outbound interviews with prospective students of the University. During these interactions I would gather valuable qualitative data regarding their academic application process and identify certain query patterns. Furthermore, I swiftly delivered appropriate resources and provided detailed information for both domestic and international applicants. This was achieved via phone, email, online chat, as well as face-to-face channels. Finally, my co-workers and I would also regularly collaborate to determine strategies to improve customer experience as well as our team's efficiency regarding database entries.
