Review the environmental portion of moderately complex applications for Environmental Resource Permits (ERPs) and Sovereign Submerged Lands (SSL) authorization; Review construction plans, mitigation plans, and environmental data ensuring compliance with 62.330 F.A.C. and 62.340 F.A.C.; prepare multiple technical staff reports and letters a day; Review and process requests for releases and amendments to regulatory conservation easements. Perform wetland delineations; apply the Uniform Mitigation Assessment Method (UMAM); conduct site inspections for environmental assessments; conduct meetings during the review process to assist consultants and applicants with developing and completing applications through the design-review process; coordinate the review of projects with other review team members and the supervising regulatory scientist; perform environmental assessments using aerial photographs, vegetation, soils and other environmental data; document project actions, activities, and pertinent information in e-Reg; review legal documents and coordinating with legal staff; coordinate with other compliance team members and supervisors; and document compliance actions, activities, and pertinent information in e-Reg.

Turtle surveys were conducted in the mornings by ATV (6am-11am) to count, mark and evaluate nests (evaluated up to 200 nests per morning). Night work (9pm-3am) was done to tag, biopsy, measure nesting turtles and mark their nests. Monthly netting trips to do research on juvenile turtles.
