Collaborate with campuses and support the implementation of the federal education grant GEAR UP initiatives, ensuring alignment between campus goals and the essential grant requirements. Serve students by helping them with academic planning, career exploration, and post-secondary preparation.

District course designer and presenter for ongoing, sustained BL PL. Evaluates the blended learning district initiative with committee members to discuss improvements and create supporting resources to promote student success and continuous improvement. The Blended Learning Committee is part of the district’s innovative AYO initiative to tailor instruction in the district.

Creates and revises curriculum content based on research and TEKS alignment for 6-12 RLA learning for GT, on-level, and remediation. Plans and presents staff development for secondary ELA teachers and admin. Advises campus leadership teams, instructional coaches, PLCs, and individual teachers to improve instructional practices. Collaborates across content areas and departments to build relationships, create & present professional development, and promote a united district vision.

In addition to the classroom duties of being an 8th grade ELA Teacher, I served as a part-time IC where I completed DAT reports, observed and coached teachers for T-TESS and personal goals through Engage2Learn’s eGrow model. Prepared and delivered staff development for the campus as a leadership team member. Facilitated PLC meetings, and led campus advanced academic and technology-integrated best practices by attending and sharing practices from TX Humanities, NMSI, AVID, District GT, and TCEA training.
