Born and raised in the Greater Seattle Area, I went to Auburn Senior High School where I was on the cheerleading team for four years and cheer captain my senior year. I decided I wanted to be an Interior Designer during my last years of high school. During high school, I worked at the YMCA as a lead-lifeguard and swim instructor for four years. After high school and during college, I was a lead server and bartender for four years. During my free time, I love to do hot yoga, go to the gym, cook delicious meals, and spend time with my family and friends. I believe that it is important to find balance in your work and personal life. With that being said, I am a highly driven and committed student at Bellevue College. I received my Associates Degree in 2017 in the Interior Studies program after experiencing a very traumatic car accident in 2015. Due to therapeutic reasons, I halted my interior design career path and decided to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2018 and a Certified Yoga Instructor in 2020. I love to help people in whatever I do. However, my true passion is in Interior Design where I find myself being constantly intrinsically motivated and creatively driven. Since coming back to school to finish my Bachelors in Arts in the Interior Studies program, I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA during my junior and senior years. I really enjoy space planning, putting pretty and sustainable materials together, and creating spaces that are aesthetically pleasing through lighting, furnishings, and décor. My favorite part of the Interior Design program is learning all the new programs that they have. I love to work on Sketchup, Enscape, Rhino, and Revit. I am in the process of becoming fluent in Chief Architect in my internship with an independent interior designer who focuses on kitchen and bath remodels. The company I am doing my internship with is called Avenue 52 Designs in Mercer Island. I help pull tiles, floor samples, wallpapers, paint samples, lighting fixtures, cabinet pulls, and mood boards. I help her with as-built floor plans and currently starting to do remodel plans with her. Even though I have been in school since graduating high school, I believe that every experience that I have had thus far has taught me invaluable lessons that will serve me well throughout my whole career span. I have learned how to communicate efficiently with clients and co-workers, how to strategically manage my time, and remain consistently motivated during this timespan. I love to learn and will continue to do so throughout my career in the Interior Design field.
