Engineering Lead for the DigitalMe Program, a digital health learning system which uses advanced technologies to help patients better understand wellness, aging, and disease. As part of the cross-functional DigitalMe core team, I provided technical leadership for all aspects of the program, including ensuring technology was in place to seamlessly recruit participants, verify eligibility, consent into program, collect survey data and schedule blood draws, as well as trigger proper communications to participants at each step through integration with a new CRM system (Salesforce Health Cloud). As part of scale up, I spun up a team that focused on engineering solutions for Clinical operations which included Biosample tracking, building out large scale genomics (RNA/DNA) processing pipelines, to merging all this data into the Translational Medicine Data Warehouse (Signals) for scientific analysis by the PLM Biocomputing team.● Hire, grow and mentor engineers at all levels across individual contributors and managers.● Managed department of 14 engineers across 4 scrum teams.● Strategize with Product, Science, Biocomp and Marketing to determine roadmap and communicate back to Engineering.● Make sure each development team’s sprint deliverables are aligned with quarterly company goals and priorities.● Work with all teams and departments to evangelize the need for a good data strategy that aligns with overall business strategy. This includes ensuring the following aspects of the data: data integrity (data provenance, longitudinal), security (PII, PHI, GDPR, HIPAA, 21CFRPart11) and scalability.● Brainstorm MVP solutions to keep to desired timelines, while setting appropriate feature expectations for non-engineering decision makers.
