I oversaw all aspects of grant management and administration for two federal grants (Open World & American Leadership Experience) that brought young foreign leaders and students to the United States for cultural or professional exchange programs. I managed and disbursed around 20 subawards per year to our Friendship Force clubs, ensuring program requirements and deadlines were met. I also supported the senior leadership team in all organizational fundraising planning and events, including two #GivingTuesday campaigns and our COVID-19 recovery campaign that raised more than half a million dollars.

I assisted the Chair of the Andrew Young School's Public Management and Policy Department. I managed the @GSU_PMAP twitter account and supported a grant-funded research project between researchers from GSU, Ga. Tech, and KSU examining immigrant integration initiatives of local governments in the Atlanta Area. I compiled, edited, and synthesized data from local city governments into straightforward figures and graphs to accompany the paper.

I worked with the Education Department to support public and youth programs including but not limited to: Outdoor Kitchen programs, public events and festivals, Drop-In Family Classes, adult continuing education classes, and children’s performances, etc.

Nicaragua

I partnered with four local primary school teachers in natural science classes from grades 3rd to 6th to promote participatory and hands-on learning, educational games, practicum and field observation as an integral part of teaching students about environmental science and conservation. I coordinated and led two environmentally focused day camps serving more than 80 rural students with support from local Ministry of Education, teachers, and fellow Peace Corps Volunteers. I also developed and facilitated an ecological brigade youth club of 13 primary school students that met weekly to learn, discuss, and promote positive youth leadership and environmental action in the community. Unfortunately my service was cut short due to a mandatory embassy evacuation caused by political and civil unrest in Nicaragua.

Served as a tutor and mentor to 140 seventh grade students in an urban school English and Language Arts class to raise individual student achievement and social emotional learning.

-Designed, planned, and led a ten-week long peer-to-peer educational program for college students wanting to learn more about sustainable agriculture. -Organized and hosted workshops and discussions focusing on social justice issues for a group of thirteen college students.-Collaborated with local businesses and organizations working in sustainable agriculture.

-Promoted sustainable initiatives to the campus and Charleston communities via social media & monthly newsletter.-Mentored peers who were interested in developing marketing and social media skills. -Presented work and experiences at AASHE's 2015 annual conference in Minneapolis, MN on a panel titled "Can You Hear Me Now? Amplifying and Measuring Sustainability Communications".
