I managed and oversaw multiple products that directly impacted our digital news presence, translating newsroom needs into shipped features and improvements. I was been responsible for project schedules, managing resources for deliverables, escalating issues, running meetings and more. • Spearheaded newsroom transition to a new CMS (ArcXP), including training newsroom staff on content creation in new system. This transition led to newsroom satisfaction in our CMS increasing by more than 70 percentage points. Worked with vendors and our staff to ensure a smooth transfer of content and features to the site.• Guided creation of a brand-new front-end user experience for dallasnews.com and made informed decisions on aspects like layout and functionality.• Championed and facilitated adoption of digital transformation tools like Slack, Zoom, Google tools and Airtable.• Launched and managed redesigns of real-time election results, Top 100 Workplaces competition, Best in D-FW voting poll, a recurring in-depth election guide for voters, and more.• Assisted in building Product team from ground up, including writing job listings, and being part of the interview process for several developers and PMs.• Collaborated with newsroom staff to create new tools, plugins and site features, including a unique CMS for high school sports stat tracking and live play-by-play• Formed and manage content creation team that includes local event listings and branded content, the latter of which was a key revenue generator in 2022.• Nominated for and participated in multiple leadership development and mentoring programs.
