These projects for example can be an app giving medication advice for patients, a production system for pharmacists, or the creation of a smart chatbot. With my background in Product Development, I focus on a successful project and a good user interaction between the organization, IT, the pharmacist and the end user.

During my project at RadboudUMC, I worked closely with the Spanish company Kiro Grifols, a company that specializes in healthcare robotics. As a follow-up to this project, I started working as freelancer for Kiro Grifols. I moved to Spain to work in develop the user interaction of a new digital platform designed for users of different Kiro robots worldwide. A great challenge in which I can explore the field of digitization.

Nijmegen, The Netherlands

As Proces Developer I was responsible for optimizing a robot that prepares elastomeric pumps for patient use. Elastomeric pumps are infusion pumps that patients use independently at home to administer medication, without the need for an electronic pump. An innovative and technological project to relieve the physical burden on pharmacists. I looked analytically at the technical process of the robot, and used my creativity to create a successful interaction between the robot and the pharmacist.

As graduation for my master Product Development I designed a paging system for the waiting room of Amalia Children's Hospital. Children and parents find a visit to the hospital stressful and that feeling starts in the waiting room. The paging system I developed focuses on the experience of children in the waiting room and relieves parents of stress. Children between 2 and 16 years old can involve in games suited to their age, within these games they discover information concerning their waiting time. By informing children and parents they feel more in control over the situation. After being paged they independently find the right consultation room, which saves caregivers valuable time.

At Buitink Technologie, a company that specializes in advanced lightweight structures, I designed an inflatable cargo bike cover. The hood is set up in an instant because the product is inflatable and easily attached to the cargo bike using special designed loops. Children can sit dry while in the cargo bike and can still look outside through the many windows integrated in the design.

Melbourne, Australia

During my graduation project at Form Prosthetics I designed a standardized prosthesis cover with the aim of making the product cheaper and therefore more accessible for users. This was a challenge because every prosthesis is unique and requires a custom designed cover. I had several in-depth interviews with prosthesis users and specialists from different clinics to define the product requirements. After going through the design process and visualizing various concepts in SolidWorks, the adjustable prosthesis cover was created. Many prototypes were produced to get the product ready for user tests. The feedback was so positive that Form Prosthetics patented the design in Australia.

Veghel, The Netherlands

During my internship at Mars, I developed a new packaging for M&Ms with a focus on portion control. The packaging must clearly communicate how much one portion contains and focus on customer behaviour for healther consuming.

At Eromesmarko I designed an outdoor furniture piece made of wood and steel for higher educational schools. The furniture is intended for a short wait during breaks and therefore has places to hang out instead of seats.
