With an academic background in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, combined with 20+ years of product design, engineering, and manufacturing experience, I'm always engaged in creating something cool, smart, and innovatively useful. I passionately believe that nothing is impossible and enjoy the company of those of like mind. In 2008, I founded Alpha One Design, a custom engineering consulting firm, which focuses on providing its clients with a full range of technical services, including embedded systems development, analog circuit design, PCB layout, firmware/software development, and low-to-high volume manufacturing guidance. Previous product engineering experience includes wifi/bluetooth-enabled smart irrigation controller, smart smoke cup circuitry for eliminating second-hand smoke, candy manufacturing sensor and control circuitry, inter-device communications for intelligent vehicle controls, embedded Linux and cloud integration for intelligent street light control, firmware development of infant pulse oximetry device, capacitive touch device development, LED stage lighting hardware/firmware development, smart prescription pill device dispenser, and drone avionics development and associated flight testing.
