Acting as a Linux Lead, SME will oversee the management of server-based support, processes, and all Linux Operations Administrators globally. SME provides strategic direction working across multiple business divisions and interacting with clients, technicians, designers and project managers to ensure that the Linux Technology meets enterprise requirements. Customer experience will be always the priority using SME skills and competencies to provide value to clients.● Planning, documenting and validating technical solutions for Linux/Unix scope in a global enterprise setting.● Engineering and implementing business process focused on service management.● Strong understanding of security challenges and best practices.● Partner with internal IT Team to manage Linux virtual and hardware technologies and process lifecycles in enterprise systems, specifically Red Hat, Oracle Linux, and IBM AIX.● Guide internal IT team to manage Linux Server administration, processes, and ticketing.● Develop and maintain strategic engagements with Infrastructure Engineering, Delivery, and Application Teams to provide end-to-end planning for delivery an appropriate infrastructure solution.● Expertise to create change management process to apply OS updates to Oracle Linux, RHEL, and AIX, including a fallback plan in case of disaster. ● Be a reviewer of “Change-Advisor Board” (CAB) meetings to ensure that all pre-requirements were met and to be an advisor in case of any possible weakness in the change plan. ● Ability to translate a strategy into work plans that would feed all phases of lifecycle from requirements to implementation.
