-Assists department leaders with case assignments for anesthesia staff. Oversees and coordinates coverage for anesthesia cases in the absence of the supervisor/manager. Participates in the selection of anesthesia staff and provides performance feedback when requested. -Assists Anesthesiologist in surgery with arterial blood gases, arterial clotting times and other point of care tests. Assists with remote procedures in areas such as labor and delivery, MRI, endoscopy, ICU and treatment rooms.-Trains and orients new anesthesiologist, physicians and anesthesia staff in the use of anesthesia equipment and procedures. Coordinates introduction of new supplies and facilitates educational in-services.-Acts as a liaison between the Anesthesiologist and department leaders and surgical staff. Acts as the point person for communication regarding anesthesia needs, policy changes, supply issues, Anesthesiologist concerns and relays pertinent information to appropriate department staff.

-Traveled throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area meeting with customers to demonstrate new products- Recommended products to fulfill customers needs-Sold and distributed products to customers

-Performs safety checks on all equipment prior to patient use.Oversees the safe keeping of all surgical equipment to ensure physical security against loss.- Facilitates efficient OR room turnover by anticipating equipment needs. Communicates to management, including physicians and staff members, as to the status of the equipment within department on a weekly basis.- Maintains unit equipment, instruments and trays in accordance with department policy. Cleans, sorts, assembles equipment, instruments and/or trays according to standard set-up and replaces in designated areas, ensuring they are readily accessible.- Assists with transportation, delivery, and pick-up of supplies, health records, lab specimens, and/or equipment. . Monitors utilization and recommends changes as appropriate. Maintains quality records of various department equipment, supplies, storage areas, etc.
