My current position with CVS is as a night shift pharmacist at one of the 24-hour locations in Denver. My main responsibilities include: The entire process of dispensing a prescription (filling, reviewing, etc.), counseling patients, providing over-the-counter recommendations, immunizations, and reviewing potentially fraudulent prescriptions. I was a Pharmacy intern in the Supportive Care and Oncology department of University of Michigan Hospital System.

Worked on a medication adherence study, a chronic pain intervention study, and participated in volunteer work in the Meru community.

Pharmacy intern at K-Mart Pharmacy in Jackson, Michigan.

Pharmacy internship via Internation Pharmaceutical Students' Federation. I was placed in Dunedin, New Zealand. I interned for approximately five weeks.

Internship.My main responsibilities were sterilizing all of the Orthodontic equipment. Typical days consisted of 100+ patients, so I was kept quite busy.

I closely observed Dr. Kolling work with several patients.

I watched him perform several general check ups and procedures.

I observed their office twice. Both doctor's showed me various procedures, instruments, tools and allowed me to do minor dental things (mixing mold cement, etc no patients).

Observed different procedures such as braces being put on and taken off, mixing bond cement (which they allowed me to do under supervision) and various other appliances placed on patients.

I observed his office multiple times and watched several cavities being filled, amongst other procedures. Dr. Dater went very in-depth in everything that he did step by step.

I watched how every part of a crown is placed. I also watched consultations and multiple check-ups. Several cavities were also filled during the extent of my visit.

Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonIt was the middle of summer, so the majority of what I saw were wisdom teeth being extracted. I was allowed to sit in on two consults, one with a patient who had a broken jaw.

He was the first orthodontist I shadowed.
