I'm a freshman at the University of Utah, looking to work my way into medical school. As a kinesiology major I love to watch the movement of the body as a whole and watch everything function together like a well oiled machine. I have taken anatomy courses and biology courses to see the function of the body inside and out, it is absolutely fascinating to see things similar yet different cause completely different reactions around the body.What got me interested and engaged in learning more about surgery and medicine is watching documentaries about the progress of medicine. It is insane to think how far we have come in medicine in the past 200 years. I want to learn more and become part of this progress of growth.I'd love to keep gaining more knowledge about the body so I know everything inside and out, and eventually I hope to be going to med school and do research and to make better and more affordable care for all. I especially want to be able to shadow surgeries and learn more about the practice I am interested in.
