About Brock Mansfield

Founder to Pre-Seed technology investor for 20+ years. After early career success with early checks into companies such as Pitchbook (fintech), Eden Rock (wireless) and OneTrust (cybersecurity), I transitioned to sustainability investing starting in 2015. Our funds have been fortunate to back some tremendous sustainability founders since then: Lou at Blue Nalu (cell-based seafood), Crag and Zach at Tidal Vision (waste to value), Lizzy & Kaitlin at Scope Zero (Carbon Savings Accounts), Anna at Zoolife (nature TV), Morgan at Public Goods (e-commerce), Stephen at Algenesis (algae-based materials), Elias at Hilos (shoes) and Phil and Maria at Simplifyber (cellulose-based fashion). As Chairman of the EnVest Investment Committee since 2017, we've also been able to identify and help future market leaders along their way including Lilac Solutions, Terviva, Cruz Foam, Lingrove, and Moleaer. Deeply embedded in the Stanford climate innovation ecosystem, where I help accelerate climate and environmental startups coming out of Stanford Climate Ventures, the TomKat Center for Sustainability and the GSB Startup Venture Studio, while also funding post-grad climate innovators as a finalist judge for the $600,000 Doerr School’s Eco-preneurship grant program.
