Duties included website development, IT, fund raising, volunteer management, wheelchair refurbishing, international travel, logistics, government and NGO negotiations, international and local outreach leadership, and marketing.Along with President Lisa Murphy and her husband Jeff, Vice-President Jenny Smith and lots of awesome volunteers we raised funds through direct-mail and e-mail solicitations as well as various fundraising auctions and events. Chairs were collected and refurbished and shipments to various countries were negotiated through different government and NGO. Once the chairs arrived, we would meet them and set up wheelchair distributions to those in need as determined by local organizations. We distributed wheelchairs in many countries over the years including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Thailand, El Salvador, Mexico, Costa Rica, multiple African countries and others. Show less
