Synthesizing my broad academic training in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell signaling, and project management, I am currently the lead scientist for the research and development division of a biotechnology company which develops early-stage molecular diagnostics for a number of cancer types.I received my in postdoctoral training in the area of cell signaling through the critical NF-kappaB pathway. My work investigated the function of post-translational modifications on central regulatory proteins that gauge NF-kappaB activity. To study these phenomena, I created and utilized a number of unique animal models that possess specific mutations which disrupt attachment of these modifications without extinguishing the expression of the protein itself.My doctoral research focused on the transcriptional regulation of B cell development and I have now progressed from the nucleus to the cell membrane in my research enterprise.Specialties: Leadership and team-building.
