I now work selectively with advisers who are in transition - either looking to establish their own practice, are in transition between practices, are looking to downsize or exit their existing practice or have just completed their education & are now looking for that next step in their career. Our firm, Adviser Hubspace, provides shared services encompassing office space, IT services, adviser technology implementation, client services, back office support, marketing support & adviser mentoring.

Having established my own financial planning practice in 2002, I went on to grow the business from a single adviser practice to a firm that in it's final evolution, had 50 employees with 14 advisers & 5 accountants. The journey included several mergers & acquisitions & a final exit from the business through an equity sale to the existing partners in 2014. In addition to being an adviser, I also held Practice Manager, Responsible Manager, Compliance Manager and Board Director roles.

I was headhunted out of IBM to head up the start up operations as the Country Manager for Intershop, an eCommerce software pioneer based in Germany. The role included hiring a professional services manager and services professionals, account management team and an operations team.

After a range of account management roles in the banking and finance sector at IBM, I took on the role of managing a team that had the responsibility of integrating IBM's financial planning software suite at a number of Australian and Asia Pacific banks. This role was followed by a two year assignment to IBM's European banking team based in London's south bank.
