I grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota, as such much of my early life work experience is farm work, walking beans, picking rocks, washing the barns, and the like. After I finished high school I attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, Iowa, for an Ag Transfer Degree. From there I went to Ames, Iowa and worked on my Ag Business Major with a Minor in Political Science. During the Presidential Election of 2016 I got involved with Senator Rand Paul’s Iowa Campaign Presence, working around my classes in Ames and at their headquarters in Des Moines. That summer I managed to get an internship with Senator Paul’s office in Washington D.C. , becoming a rarity in that I was the only person in the office not from Kentucky. After I graduated from ISU I accepted a position at the local community bank Welcome State Bank where I worked in various roles. After 4 years with Welcome State Bank I moved to Profinium bank as a loan processor for one year, then on to a position in field sales with NFIB, where I work currently.
