This role involved leading a team of up to 10 people focused within the areas of ports, maritime and coastal for Queensland, including the day-to-day operations, business planning and opportunity pursuit.Within this role, Brodie was involved in projects focused within the core areas of durability investigation, technical due diligence / transaction support, whole-of-life modelling and condition remediation.

This role involves working within the Materials Technology group, which involves undertaking condition assessments, forensic investigations, producing repair specifications detailed repair drawings and residual life assessments for various civil infrastructure. Remediation designs include cathodic protection, coating specifications, pile encasement, crack repairs and various timber repairs.

Within this position, I have completed a Thesis that investigates current Level 2 Bridge inspection processes, whilst working within the Materials Technology and Asset Management service group. This role involved assisting other members of the team with report-writing tasks, including proposals and client reports, site inspections and remediation specifications.

This main purpose of this role was the delivery of the finishing works for the GUSBUS project. Responsible for the development of demobilisation staging plans.Conducted inspections of barriers, drainage channels and lintel prior to, and during construction. Performed defect inspections alongside the Client's Representative.As well as this, the position included working on the QRNA Showgrounds Redevelopment as part of the early works prior to mobilisation to site. This work included the preparation of quantity takeoffs, Construction Procedures and RFT documentation.

Australian Delegate to the three stage Lead Asia-Pacific program commencing on the 30th of September. The program is brings together 21 young leaders from different parts of the Asia-Pacific in an exciting and challenging program with the dual objectives of bringing fresh ideas to the APEC Summit and initiating and maintaining regional dialogue on the most pressing issues of the Asian century. This program includes constructing a policy paper on a particular topic and raising subsequent discussions at the APEC Youth Summit.

Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project

Undergraduate Site Engineer to the Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project, whilst in the finishing phase prior to practical completion. This role included conducting inspections of all preparation works alongside the Clients Representative prior to the pouring of concrete, organising subcontractors, materials and traffic control for works to be completed in subsequent days as well as developing a target program to be implemented for footpath works.Within this role, I was provided with the opportunity to manage a small team of contractors to deliver a stretch of footpath works up until completion.
