Working with the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, I am developing skills across areas such as stakeholder engagement, experience and event management, stewardship, and annual giving.Alumni Engagement- Serve as the interim Student Engagement Coordinator to support opportunities for student engagement across campus, as well as providing support for the Student Alumni Association (SAA) with its 1,500+ members.- Work with SAA to lead events, such as the Student Alumni Networking Dinner by connecting with esteemed alumni, communicating with students, and handling event logistics.- Support communication efforts for SAA across electronic and social media platforms.- Collaborate with college partners to organize a student and young alumni mentorship program.- Provide support for various alumni engagement events, such as the Wilmington Chancellor’s Reception.- Work with the Engagement Experiences team to plan and outline events for Red and White Week, engaging with members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, esteemed alumni, volunteers, and university staff.- Create communication templates and sample event ideas for Regional Alumni Networks.- Work to outline a Volunteer Stewardship Plan for Regional Alumni Networks and Affinity Groups.

After serving as the '22-'23 Director of SATELLITE, I chose to continue my service to the program by implementing a new position, Director of Donor Relations and Fundraising. SATELLITE targets students from under-resourced communities in North Carolina, and the cost that campers pay is kept low to help make the opportunity more accessible to students across the state, meaning that the program relies almost entirely on personal donations and corporate sponsorships. In this position, I lead a team of NC State students to develop a list of prospective donors, while engaging with the program's current stakeholders. Additionally, I work closely with the SATELLITE '23-'24 Leadership Team to ensure that we are effectively and appropriately reflecting the mission of camp to those that we engage with.

As the '22-'23 Director for SATELLITE, a component of the Caldwell Fellows program, I guided our Leadership Team and 25 counselors in the planning and execution of the 2023 camp. Other duties as Director include donor acquisition, working with university entities to gain support, and overseeing the work of our Programming, Outreach, and Operations teams. For the 2023 program, our team was able to raise approximately $16,000 to invite about 60 high schoolers to NC State's campus!Overview of SATELLITE:SATELLITE (Science And Technology Enriching Lifelong Leadership In Tomorrow’s Endeavors) is a STEM outreach and leadership development program led by students from NC State. It is designed to introduce students from rural North Carolina high schools to science and technology related educational and career paths through a five-day overnight camp on NC State’s campus each May. Approximately 60 high school sophomores experience a wide array of demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on laboratory experiments with the assistance of professors and current NC State students.

As the '21-'22 Assistant Director for SATELLITE, I worked closely with the Director, Leadership Team, and Caldwell Fellows staff in the planning and execution of our 2022 program. With the 2022 program being the first year back after the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked to rebuild the program and invited about 60 high school students to our campus to expose them to post-secondary educational opportunities.

Working as the Public Policy Intern for the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI), I research and analyze policies that impact the lives of North Carolinians and the "emerging issues" across the state. Additionally, I examine demographic and economic data for the state of North Carolina, draft written materials for internal and external uses, and assist the policy and programs team with various tasks as needed.For the 2023-2024 academic year, my area of work was focused on planning for the 2025-2027 Emerging Issues Forum series, which is set to be centered around infrastructural needs in North Carolina as we face a vastly growing population. For this, I gathered data and information on the current infrastructure and energy systems across the state, as well as created briefings on how the population demographics of North Carolina will change from now to 2050.For the 2022-2023 academic school year, my work focused on IEI's 2023 Emerging Issues Forum. The 2023 forum, Talent First Economics, was centered around workforce and economic development, and with that I was tasked with researching current trends, analyzing data from around North Carolina and the United States, and collaborating with the IEI Staff to create briefings to be used for the development of the 2023 Emerging Issues Forum.

ECD 310: Caldwell Fellows Seminar for Fall 2023ECD 310 is a theoretical and practical leadership class focused on servant leadership and its applications in a rapidly changing world. I predominantly worked as a TA for one of the course's service-learning teams, where students apply topics learned in class to social issues in North Carolina. Our team's social issue revolved around educational equity and the access to higher education in under-resourced communities.

As the Legislative Intern for Senator Natalie Murdock (NC-20), I researched key legislation for the Senator, managed communications with constituents across Durham and Chatham County, attended committee meetings and Senate sessions, and performed various administrative tasks. I also drafted written materials, such as the Senator’s weekly newsletter with the goal of keeping the district informed on relevant legislation that is moving through the NC General Assembly, as well as information regarding local district events, and grant and funding opportunities open to members in the community.

Worked to promote and market the Student Alumni Association to incoming Freshman at Orientation. Additionally I worked to properly and respectfully communicate with Donors to the Student Alumni Association.

Handled communication and marketing efforts for the Oaks Leadership Scholars at North Carolina State University. Through this position, I also spearheaded the recruitment and outreach programming for the organization, and regularly met with the program Directors to ensure proper communication.

Managed donor data for the campaign. Kept an updated database of approximately 700 potential donors, and contacted these donors via phone, email, and mail to discuss campaign platform and donation opportunities. Additionally, I would coordinate volunteer and canvassing events around the Raleigh and Wake County areas.
