In this position, I lead a team of NC State students to develop a list of prospective donors, while engaging with the program's current stakeholders. Additionally, I work closely with the SATELLITE '23-'24 Leadership Team to ensure that we are effectively and appropriately reflecting the mission of camp to those that we engage with. -

Other duties as Director include donor acquisition, working with university entities to gain support, and overseeing the work of our Programming, Outreach, and Operations teams. For the 2023 program, our team was able to raise approximately $16,000 to invite about 60 high schoolers to NC State's campus!Overview of SATELLITE:SATELLITE (Science And Technology Enriching Lifelong Leadership In Tomorrow’s Endeavors) is a STEM outreach and leadership development program led by students from NC State. It is designed to introduce students from rural North Carolina high schools to science and technology related educational and career paths through a five-day overnight camp on NC State’s campus each May. Approximately 60 high school sophomores experience a wide array of demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on laboratory experiments with the assistance of professors and current NC State students. -
