The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, creating, and developing informal and formal learning solutions to meet organizational needs; analyzing and selecting the most appropriate strategy, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and business impact. Senior Instructional Designer has strengths in instructional design, proficiency with multimedia development and major authoring tools, skills in developing interactive e-learning and video, adaptive e-learning, simulations, with solid project management skills, and experience working with Learning Management Systems.

• As the head of Joint Deployment Training Center’s interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) team and in collaboration with instructional systems designers (ISDs) and subject matter experts created web based training (WBT), computer based training (CBT), educational games, software tools, and promotional and instructional videos for the Joint Warfighter Community.• Motivated, trained, mentored and supervised a team of programmers, 3d artists and graphic designers.• Managed simultaneous development, implementation and evaluation of products and courses. • Conceptualized, and designed courses to be hosted on Coursemill Learning Management System (LMS), and Joint Knowledge Online’s Atlas Pro LMS.• Conceived and created interactive learning games to capture students’ attention and interest, while evaluating knowledge retention.• Identified the need for, conceptualized and created custom software tools such as JPlayer (custom online animation/video player), ECHO (course review, tracking and change implementation system) and EDEN (content management and Lectora integration system) to streamline and improve courseware development process. • Utilizing Unity game development engine, 3D applications and Adobe Creative Suite, created fully immersive virtual learning environment.• Created interactive presentations and demos for civilian leadership and flag officers at Joint Staff and Joint Deployment Training Center.• Provided video, photography and sound support for various functions and meetings.• Troubleshot and resolved various LMS problems, created and managed student and instructor accounts, corrected course certificate issues and provided customer service to JDTC students and faculty.• Conducted research and advised on new technologies, software and hardware purchases.• Utilized audio and video equipment such as: video cameras, digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras, lights, flashes and microphones to capture video, sound and images.
