Tutored both Spanish and English as a Second Language in one-on-one and group settings. While some of my experiences were paid, others were volunteer work, both of which allowed me to develop my skills as a language teacher and prepare for leading my own classroom in the future.

Worked on several ground-breaking grant-funded projects, including:1. The CyWrite project: an automated writing evaluation (AWE) tool combining concurrent eye-tracking and keystroke-logging software that provides students with real-time corrective feedback.2. CyTrack (Exploiting Keystroke Logging and Eye-Tracking to Support the Learning of Writing): another tool utilizing concurrent eye-tracking and keystroke-logging software designed to provide second language learners with formative feedback regarding their language-specific writing processes and which specific processes could be improved upon to increase fluency in writing. 3. The Golden Speaker project: an online pronunciation tool designed to help English learners improve their accent by creating an automated model speaker that synthesizes a perfect English accent into the learner's own voice.

Assisted in teaching Spanish-English Translation as well as Grammatical Analysis. Within these roles I led classes, provided one-on-one help sessions, graded student work, and worked with the professors to improve the courses for following years.

During my time studying abroad in Valencia, Spain, I was able to serve as an Intern at the California Language School, an after-school English academy for students of all ages studying to improve their spoken and written English. As an intern, I assisted in classroom management, provided private tutoring, developed materials for an in-house EFL textbook, interacted with customers, and administered Cambridge English proficiency exams.
