I am a problem solver. I always have been. When someone tells me something won't work, I immediately begin thinking of ways to make it work. I find conventional solutions for unconventional problems and vice versa. I look outside the accepted realm and question the status quo. This is how I bring innovation to my employers.I have extensive experience as an R&D technician working in early product development. I have a record of innovation in proof of concept design, testing, and improvement while keeping costs low and impacts high. I collaborate well and have worked with all kinds of engineers including mechanical, electrical, and software.Now I apply my innovation to plant science and plant breeding, looking for new ways to improve agriculture with unconventional thinking. Currently I am developing technology to non-destructively estimate bulked root mass for crops such as cassava, potato, and peanut. I am seeking to move into the seed or production industry with my training in agronomy, organic agriculture, sustainability, plant breeding, and remote sensing.Ideally, I would like to use my knowledge as an agricultural remote sensing specialist to improve the capabilities of a plant breeding team, reduce turn around time, improve response to stress factors, and reduce cost. However, I am qualified to work as an agronomist, field researcher, research team leader, plant scientist, plant breeder, and so many other related positions.
