As a content creator and copywriter for the Sustainable Communities Conference 2023, I played a pivotal role in amplifying our mission through compelling content creation. I was the driving force behind our engaging social media presence, well-crafted direct-send newsletter articles, visually appealing graphics, and consistent brand-aligned digital assets. This year's conference saw a record number of attendees. I was the Social media manager for 12 channels, posting through Hootsuite, Facebook Business Suite, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin and Twitter. I assisted in creating the Town’s social media policy and training staff in all things social media. I helped the other communication specialists and departments successfully manage their campaigns and assisted with graphic design and strategy recommendations.Communications Specialist for Recreation, Events, Programs, Culture and Heritage.I was in charge of all communications regarding Covid-19, including emergency updates, building closures, signage and news releases. I wrote communication plans, marketing initiatives, social media strategies and public service announcements.I was responsible for updating all web pages related to my portfolios. I worked with my departments to create successful campaigns that fostered community engagement. Utilizing my problem-solving and technical skills to create a website skin to ensure the community had an easy, accessible online registration tool for programs. Guided new hires with best practices, file structures, and the inner workings of municipal governments. I was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in March of 2021.

I worked collaboratively with other communication strategists, Indigenous and Rural Relations Strategists, Event Organizers, Social Media Manager and Graphic Designers. I successfully communicated all significant events and arts programs within the Municipality. I wrote communication, and social media plans, created marketing materials, scheduled social media campaigns, and updated website pages. I created ratio advertisements and placed newspaper ads regularly for events. I worked with the IT department to pilot Microsoft Teams for the Municipality, and due to its success, it was implemented company-wide.

In charge of all marketing and communications. I developed a user-friendly website, and online registration system allowing more time to be spent focusing on what families needed than administrative duties. Families loved booking online for activities because the limited hours of the facilities were hard for working parents to register in person. Registrations doubled in my time managing their marketing.

I was the advertising manager for the ATA Newspaper, as well as the ATA Magazine. When I arrived at the ATA the way advertising was organized was in paper files. It had a lot of room for human error. I created an ad database to keep track of accounting, and ad booking details. It would print reports on command each week to outline the details of the ads needing to run in each edition of the ATA Newspaper. I was an official photographer for the association attending events, in-house events and photographing members of the association. I was the admin assistant for the communications committee. I was in charge of taking minutes, organizing meetings, including agendas, snacks, meals and packages.

As the Executive Assistant I am responsible for providing effective administrative and professional support to the Athabasca University Faculty Association and it's current elected executive. Duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining grievance files, organizing events, managing inquiries and requests for information, preparing marketing material, managing website content, maintaining social media networks, bookkeeping, and various other administrative tasks. Time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task are essential in my day-to-day activities at AUFA. Given the nature of the union industry, confidentiality is highly regarded.

I was responsible for town council, county council and court beats. I was heavily invested in the inner workings of the municipalities. Each week I would use InDesign to lay out the paper. I created photos, videos and written content for multi-platform use.

I was the sole reporter for the Rimbey Review. I put out a weekly 24-page paper.
