I have been writing columns for The Irish Times about my own lived experience with mental ill health since 2017, when I was in the first year of my journalism degree. The aim of my work here is to educate the wider public about mental health and to help others suffering resonate and feel less alone. Ultimately, I'm trying to normalise mental health difficulties and remove the stigmatization and shame that generally accompanies it in society.
