First level in the Incident Command Model for incidents that occur within the Detention Facility. Complete, analyze and disseminate reports to superiors. Research and suggest improvements to industry policy and practice.

Coordination of the Field Training Program. Supervise and manage newly hired employees, academy cadets, Field Training Officers, and employees transferring from one district to another. Conduct Security Clearance Authorization for contracted employees for entry into secure facilities. Create training lesson plans for existing staff and newly hired civilian employees. Conduct and teach the civilian employee Academy. Prepare, analyze and disseminate reports and statistics to superiors.

Oversee the operations of booking, processing, and release of arrestees. Supervise, coach, mentor, and train staff in the performance of their duties. Accountability to the daily functions in the booking and release processes. Prepare, analyze, and disseminate reporting systems to staff and superiors.

Facilitate on the job training of newly hired staff in the policies, procedures and job tasks. Coach, Mentor, and evaluate trainees assigned to the Field Training Officer Program. Create and teach lesson plans for existing staff for updated policies and changes to accepted industry practices. Research and present potential improvements to current policy, practice, and training.
