My time at Benjamin Britten Academy has allowed me to develop my IT knowledge and skills, the role allowed me to get a practical understanding of the industry. Within the role, I am primarily tasked with supporting students and staff with first-line support.Within the IT department, we offer support in multiple forms such as via phone, email and face-to-face. As first-line support, if something was to go wrong with a device or account within the organisation I am tasked with carrying out the initial logging and troubleshooting then escalating the issue if I do not have the access to resolve the issue.This role has allowed me to get practical experience with PowerShell allowing me to automate tasks that save the department time and means it is ensured certain processes are carried out to strict standards to prevent issues.Later in my time at Benjamin Britten Academy, I gained the position of senior apprentice in which I was tasked with assisting with the training of new staff, showing them how processes are done in line with the standards set out in the department.
