Once again a wonderful opportunity working for United Shore, this time on the server team. I gained many new skills as I worked with the server team. I built out Windows servers using VMWare templates and Puppet configurations. I also scheduled and helped with patching and validating app health post-patching on 1300+ servers using SCCM. Additionally, I created and managed access to distribution groups, calendars, and shared mailboxes, using Exchange Admin Center along with Powershell scripts. Finally, I was able to participate in a Summer Team Member group project centered around ideas for company improvement. Our team worked all summer on the project, our area of focus being recruitment, and ended with a presentation to senior leadership of our ideas.

Wonderful summer experience working hands-on with a team of 12 amazing information security professionals. Here I gained technical proficiency with SIEM, Email Gateway Policy, Access Management, Kali Linux, and various other security platforms and techniques. Through the use of these tools, I became proficient in threat and vulnerability management. In addition, I attended daily/weekly meetings gaining practical insights into the adaptations and practical relations of a security team in a corporate business environment.
