SOME DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct research by doing competitive analysis. Compile analysis report and submit to creative council. Create and develop the range to meet the customers’ needs and upcoming trends  Submit range to creative council for final approval. Formulate and create the style sheets for each garment and submit to the supplier for development’. Follow up with suppliers to ensure garments are completed timeously for launch. Quality control garment to ensure garment meets the required standard. Prepare for launch by creating a catalogue, tagging of samples and visual merchandising of range. Confirm costs with supplier to stay within profit margin. Receive samples and quality control for fit and styling Present and sell the range to the agents.  Maintain customer relationship with agents, suppliers and internal colleagues. Maintain spreadsheets and administration to track product follow through.Retail buying and exclusive development: Post seasonal analysis. Competitive analysis. Trend forecasting. Create buy plans. Buying of merchants /specialist buyers range, keeping target market and seasonal performed styles in mind. Compile Look book. (Highlighting key styles of the season.  Maintain customer relationship with contacts/leads and internal colleagues  Conduct research on fashion industry. Manage and organise outreach project with LISOF and Forte High School in Soweto. Visual styling of mannequins in windows of LISOF. Create and develop a range for a retail outlet linked to an outreach programme. Submit range to Shana Rosenthal (CEO and Founder of LISOF) and launched to the industry via fashion show and installation. Quality control of garments, to ensure garment meets the standard.
