Marine and Coastal Scientist with five years' experience in environmental consulting and management. I have a broad skillset and knowledge in the areas of; water quality, marine protected area management, coastal and marine science, tropical geomorphology (specialising in reef and reef island geomorphology), environmental legislation, WHS and waterway and gully remediation. Bachelor of Marine Science with Honours (BMSc Hons) from James Cook University. My Honours project explored the dynamics of sediment supply and delivery at Lady Elliot Island on the Southern GBR, to assess the vulnerability of reef islands and the ecosystems they support, to climate change. I have a particular interest in coral reef science, climate change and adaptive management. Experience conducting fieldwork in remote and challenging conditions (both marine and terrestrial) including flora, fish and habitat surveys, soil and water sampling and maintenance of equipment. Responsible for the assessment of permit applications, production of technical and field reports, environmental management plans and other WHS documentation. I hold a Coxswains Grade 1 NC and Rescue Diver qualifications.
