During my time as Services Manager, as well as managing staff and the delivery of the educational and training services, I undertook an overview of the organisation's programmes and services at local and national level, in particular I evaluated the reach of each service. I also initiated a review of Arthritis Ireland's self-management programme as regards reach and quality standards. This overview preceded a formal review of the organisation services, and services users needs carried out by the organisation in 2023.

Employed as political adviser to Nessa Childers MEP, with responsibility for political communications, social media, strategic planning, campaigns and policy development. With overall responsibility for Ms Childers' European Election campaign 2014 - this involved policy and communications planning, operations planning, and providing leadership to staff and volunteers.

During this period I worked with a number of organisations in the voluntary sector advising on public affairs, internal and external communications planning and campaign management. Specifically during this period I also had responsibility for managing and organising regional and national conferences and events; developing training programmes for management committees and members; desktop publishing, website and database administration and development; office management and financial administration including grant scheme.

As spokesperson on Women’s Affairs for the Irish Green Party, I represented the party at national level through the media and directly to non governmental organisations. I was responsible for policy development, and and co-wrote a number of national policy documents for the party including The Green Party Women’s Manifesto 2007, Children’s Policy 2006, and Policy on Gender Quotas 2004.

Working for Green MEP Patricia McKenna, with responsibility for planning and organising seminars, press conferences, constituency work and publications; also complete planning and management of 1999 European Election Campaign – including the overseeing of the development of the campaign's themes and strategy.
