Bronwyn Robertson, Assistant Director for WIOA Compliance in the Office of Adult Education at the Mississippi Community College Board (MCCB) is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of experience in the community college sector, specializing in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIA/WIOA) programs for approximately 15 of those years. She has made significant contributions to the field through her work on various publications, including the ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC®) Crosswalk to the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education (CCRSAE) and "Evaluating the Validity of WorkKeys in the Mississippi Community College System" which were instrumental in securing approval for ACT® WorkKeys® Applied Math and Workplace Documents as suitable tests for the National Reporting System.In her current role, Mrs. Robertson oversees the job readiness course, Smart Start, and in 2019, she spearheaded the initiative to align the course with the needs of Mississippi's high-demand industries and occupations. Bronwyn’s leadership also extends to the responsibility of monitoring 21 adult education programs, ensuring that each program meets established state and federal standards while effectively serving its participants. Her passion for programs to deliver high-quality education and training to adult learners, while fostering their personal and professional growth through career pathways has led her to being a key figure in the advancement of adult education and workforce readiness initiatives. Mrs. Robertson serves as a liaison with various state and national organizations, such as Coalition of Adult Basic Education, ACT, Amerigroup, Mississippi Public Broadcasting, Work for Warriors MS, National Career Pathways Network, and the Governor’s Job Fair Network.Bronwyn earned a B.S. in Social Work from Mississippi State University and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Leadership from Capella University. She enjoys running, working out, and saving healthy recipes that rarely ever get cooked. She currently resides in Jackson with her husband Danny, and two sons, Tanner and Brister.
