I am a passionate farmer, music educator, wife and mother of two. Moving to the Harden district in 1998, my husband Matthew and I, along with our two daughters, run a successful mixed farming operation of sheep, beef cattle and grain. I have completed an Agribusiness Diploma and considerable livestock/grazing management and business administration courses, giving me extensive operational ability and knowledge of livestock, farming equipment and financial and administrative office expertise. In addition to being an integral part of all farming operations, I also manage a piano studio and have taught local families since 1999. Using variety, adaptability and learning music through play, creativity and exploration, Bronnie’s Music Studio gives students the ability to not only succeed at music, but develop life skills such as grit, focus and determination. I am a dedicated and active community member and have had many volunteer roles in the local community. Joining the arts council committee when I first moved to Harden was my first introduction to committees in small communities. I then took the treasurer position on many committees - playgroup, the local school P & F, the school Council, and the local soccer club. Following this I was part of the first committee introducing the successful The Harden Kite festival to the community of Harden. After my children left for boarding school, I took the treasurer position for the local tennis club before taking the role of President. During this time I was also on the build committee facilitating a multi million dollar complex for new tennis courts and club house. Since then, I have been engaged with the Harden Land Care group assisting in the organising of the Harden ‘Ladies on the Land’ events. Along with this role I am also the chair of the NSW farmers Harden Boorowa branch.
