In this role I developed strategies and analysis that are commercially and operationally sustainable; strategic and innovative; and deliver an exceptional customer experience. I also identified and drove opportunities to reduce costs, increase revenue and manage the risks and opportunities at key major on-shore airports. This was delivered through the application of commercial analysis, strategic thinking, challenging the status quo and effective stakeholder management across a broad range of stakeholders.This role integrated Qantas Group approach to airport strategy and commercial negotiations and as such have close interactions across other key stakeholders group and its subsidiaries.

This position saw me as the main contact point for Route Profitability and responsible for production of the datasets and reporting and providing insightful route commentary. I also coordinated the governance around the data, providing support to the Route Profitability Steering Group; the decision making body for the RP dataset and methodologies comprised of senior stakeholders and business partners. This involved owning the allocation methodologies and leading regular review of those methodologies with the relevant business partners. I was also required leverage my stakeholder management skills to understand both the finance and business/commercial/network needs of route profitability data and ensure their needs are met efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Reporting to CFO.• Manage the financial accounting and reporting team of 5 including Accounts Payable and Accountants.• Ensure all financial and statutory reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner at year end.• Oversee and control the preparation of monthly management reporting ensuring that all reports and information provided is accurate and timely• Manage month end close. Review all adjustment journals prepared by ledger team and ensuring reconciliation are prepared.• Prepare variance and ad hoc tasks for CFO and CEO.• Review cash flow forecasting and reporting.• Liaise with external auditors in the completion of interim and year end audits.• Review quarterly distribution memo and action payments for quarterly distribution.

• Treasury Management. Manage cash investments across the group. Created a cash flow model to assist in decision making process in vesting surplus royalties collected prior to distribution cycles.• Prepare annual budget for all companies across the group. Manage monthly forecast during the year.• Prepare monthly variance analysis on revenue streams.• Prepare monthly expense variance reporting.• Check system reports to identify any incorrectly processed transactions and rectify.• Actual vs. forecast vs. budget variances are accurately detailed and explained in monthly reports and/or future projections are accurate minimising future variances• Ad hoc request from departmental heads and senior management. Provide timely data and analysis to assist them in monitoring their expenses or revenue.• Calculate of quarterly distribution pools for APRA|AMCOS members.• Administer systemic development and projects.

Whilst working at KPMG I have been required to plan, organise and deliver multiple audits. I have also been required to deal with multiple issues across many clients at the same time. The planning and delivery of large group audits has required me to organise my time and workload as well as that of the team.As the incharge on the engagements I am required to manage a team of accountants on site and coordinate deadlines and deliverables with the client staff and the partner.
