This Project has been funded to develop an Early Years Education for Sustainability Framework that will act as the foundation for lifelong learning to empower, enable and connect our children, families, educators and community to live more sustainably. This framework will be adaptable and transferable to a range of early childhood services and settings. This will be delivered through the development of principles, practices, policies, training and resources relating to biodiversity, waste, water, energy and well-being.This project will support early years service providers, parents and children, to understand the natural environment and develop attitudes and habits for a sustainable future. Three to six year-olds are at their most significant developmental stage and it is important to foster environmental attitudes and values, and empower young children to develop strategies and skills for a sustainable future.
