Project Management of the branding of our EV fleet – Art Direction, and supplier and stakeholder management.• As a member of the core cross-functional team for the Z.co.nz and Caltex.co.nz redevelopment projects, I participated in co-design workshops and provided branding and design advice. I contributed to the content playbook, which included defining the content vision and principles, and ensuring that the tone of voice aligned with the brand. I facilitated access to imagery and ensured the inclusion of te reo, while also serving as a liaison between our website development agency, AKQA, and Saatchi & Saatchi.• Onboarding of our new agency Saatchi & Saatchi, as well as all new starters, to ensure they are familiarised with Z's brand, tone of voice, and the optimal ways to use our assets.• Working with Z’s Head of Retail and Saatchi & Saatchi to review Z’s Brand architecture bringing Z back from being a ‘House of brands’ to a ‘Branded house'.• Supported weekly Marketing Alignment meetings by reviewing all Marcomms material to ensure it is on brand and visually cohesive.• Due to budget cuts to agency spending I collaborated with the Social Media Manager to brainstorm and create all social assets for Caltex and Z for 6 months. I utilised my creative thinking, design, and animation skills.
Visual Designer
Reporting to the Head of Product and Design. Working alongside a team of digital Product Owners, Experience and Service designers. Acting as a conduit between Digital products and Brand and Marcomms teams. HIGHLIGHTS:• I led the development of a new Z Energy brand design system that significantly improved the efficiency and coherence of all Z-branded materials and products. Recognizing the need to address the business concerns of productivity and future delivery while also saving costs, I formulated a hypothesis and conducted extensive research, scoping requirements, workshopping, testing, and collaborating with Dave Clark to implement the new design system. The system was immediately put into effect, resulting in substantial cost and time savings for the company. As we went into the Covid lockdown, the system allowed us to quickly produce urgent communications while maintaining brand consistency.• Provided subject matter expertise to support Z’s defence against an injunction to cease using the colour orange by Genesis Energy. My responsibilities included researching and providing all historical marketing materials and offering advice on logos, colours, and printing methods.• Evolving the Z Brand Manual; researching and writing the new 'Te O Maori' and 'How we use copy' sections of the Brand manual. Engaging with stakeholders and agencies on any changes or releases to the manual, and regular catchups with Dave Clark Design to keep the Brand system project alive and iterating as required.
