- Counselling or therapy on an individual and group level to assist with psychological, social or emotional difficulties using a variety of therapeutic techniques including: Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Creative Expressive Art Therapy, CBT and DBT. - Learning support is offered to develop academic skills and address specific challenges to learning, these include: -study and organisational skills -time management -managing school related stress and anxiety -test and exam preparation- Development of Individualised Educational Plans (IEP) for learners - Collaborate with teachers to overcome barriers to learning in the classroom and to stretch learners to reach their full potential. - Conduct assessments and screenings for a variety of reasons, including: - Emotional concerns - Learning issues - Concession applications - Subject choice - Career guidance - Personality assessments - Compile Reports and provide feedback to learners, teachers, parents/caregivers and any other relevant parties- Coordinate and facilitate a number of psycho-educational workshops with my Wellness Team colleagues for the staff, learners and parents at the Academy. These include: - Organisational skills and time management - Study skills - Anti-Bullying - Girl bullying and cyber bullying - Grief, loss and bereavement - Positive parenting - Sex, gender and sexual orientation - Exam preparation
