I have more than twenty five years experience in the New Zealand energy sector. Over this time my efforts have been focussed on finding constructive solutions to a diverse range of policy and regulatory issues.I am an experienced project manager, analyst and writer. I am an excellent problem solver, with common sense and analytical capability backed by sound judgement. The skills I have gained in the energy sector are applicable across many other areas:** Problem definition and analysis** Working with engineers, economists and financial experts to understand and communicate ideas and analysis in a manner that is comprehensible to people outside the field** Undertaking consultation involving both written and verbal elements** Writing technical analytical documents and guides, Ministerials and Board papers** Project managing in relation to policy development, contract development and management, and analytical projects** Managing relationships with people of various levels and backgrounds in a manner which is generally enjoyable and fun.Recent projects I have worked on include development of regulatory reports for submission to the Commerce Commission and development of a renewable energy investment plan for Vanuatu. I have a wide breadth of knowledge across the electricity sector ranging from power system planning and system operation to regulation of monopoly businesses and operation of wholesale markets.I am currently seeking contract or consulting roles in New Zealand
