Studied the differences between breast milk and formula and found that formula-fed infants have differences including a decreased thymus. Researched the effects of refrigeration and freezing stored breast milk on levels of vitamins and oxidation in the breast milk and found that refrigeration was the worst method. Investigated link between soda and colon cancer. Collected data from national databases. Used SEER Stat software. Found that research on the link between soda and cancer is limited except for studies on the caramel coloring in soda, 4-methylimidazole and the recent Harvard study. Assisted with Dr. Smith-Gagen's theory of inflow and outflow on the Churchill County ALL Leukemia cluster. -
