I am an experienced resarcher but most of all an experienced teacher, with a demonstrated history of working in and with teams of teachers and school leadership teams. My skills include Leadership, Interpersonal Skills, Consulting, Teacher Mentoring, and Educational Change. My most recent research was for the Masters of Educational Leadership focused in Data Practices and Leadership from Australian Catholic University. I am the Mathematics and School Data Coordinator at St Francis of Assisi in Mill Park, the largest Catholic Primary school in Australia. I began my career as a senior primary teacher and became particularly interested in how students can become the best mathematicians they can be and helping them see that Mathematics is more than content and skill, it is lifelong learning. My passion for data literacy & leadership, school improvement and assessment which drives improved student outcomes is underpinned by a growth based pedagogy and the firm belief that given the right conditions and support, every student can learn. I aim to help teachers become confident in making data informed decisions that can show real impact on their school contexts. It is my strong belief that this occurs best when conversation amongst teachers is about their own students and I use a variety of dialogue data practices to scaffold and transform data practice. I firmly believe that no matter the subject, collaboration between teachers is paramount.
