Associate Professional Development Trainee
The Professional Development Trainee program at Bosch is a 2-year program in which PDT Associates participate in four 6-month rotations within the company.Rotation 1: CI/DAD8, Chicago Connectory (July 2018 - January 2019)• Developed an automation process for the tags of identifiable objects (rooms, spaces, points of interest) for the BIM models in an internal smart office app using Dynamo (visual programming language built-in to the Revit BIM software).• Created a document standardizing the creation of BIMs within the application.• Participated in a smart city project by assisting in facilitating workshops and conducting market research at the Smart Cities Connect Conference in Tampa, FL.Rotation 2: CI/AC-AM, Mount Prospect, IL (January 2019 - July 2019)• Developed research presentations on emerging trends in the digital space.• Assisted the internal communications group in creating the content for the digital business product portfolio and developed automation processes for adding new products and updating information in the portfolio.• Assisted in the planning and execution of an Automation Event hosted at the Chicago Connectory.Rotation 3: CC-AS/EAS1-NA, Plymouth, MI (July 2019 - January 2020)• Worked as a calibration engineer for Bosch's electrically boosted brake systems.• Received driving certifications for Bosch's winter and summer proving grounds.• Developed a system for parts tracking using QR codes.Rotation 4: CC-AS/EAB1, Abstatt, Germany (January 2020 - July 2020)• Supporting technical project management team for Bosch ESP system.• Gaining additional calibration experience at Bosch summer and winter proving grounds in Europe.
