The best leaders are always learning and through personal development, we continue to become better versions of ourselves.At Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP), we are blessed to have such an amazing platform to work from and to be surrounded by dedicated and extremely talented colleagues each day.Through a series of progressively senior-level roles managing teams, programs, and projects, I have been instrumentally involved in the program’s continual evolution, rising to become one of the preeminent approaches to ELA education across the continuum. Some of the work that I am especially proud of includes: ▶︎ Providing consultative, research-based guidance to districts around the world on optimizing curriculum efficiency by modifying pacing, cadence, and logistics.▶︎ Presenting at NYS teacher conference day along with a small team of leaders at TCRWP on Preparing for the Demands of the New York State ELA Exam (600 attendees registered for 2020).▶︎ Partnering with Katy ISD, a large district in Texas with 66+ schools, as district staff development lead and primary resource for integration of TCRWP districtwide. ▶︎ Guiding professional development of my team and working with school administrators to implement, scale, and optimize district-level programs. At the district and partner level, my work with administrators and school leaders is exceptionally rewarding. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to present and work alongside passionate educators, developing and delivering conference programming in the US, Dubai, Japan, Canada, and the Netherlands.
