While working at The Hughston Clinic I was able to work in many different areas of Human Resources. I managed health benefits, 401K changes and loans, and FMLA for over 450 employees and physicians.I also managed our employee record keeping system, from onboarding to termination; including exit interviews, pay changes, deduction changes, insurance, and any other pertinent payroll information. Other duties that I had include advising managers and employees on company policies, complete audits and reconciliation of all benefits invoices and submit for timely payments, and run audits to ensure accuracy of employee records. Lastly, I had the opportunity to provided assistance with the implementation of a new division to expand the company into a new market.

Houston, Texas Area

While working full time at Troy Construction, I helped to managed health benefits for over 2,500 employees. I also evaluated employee record keeping system to find a new system that will save the company money and streamline processes when completed throughout entire company. I also assisted with payroll administration duties and other HR functions such as compliance, audit business functions and open enrollment.

Houston, Texas Area

I had the opportunity to work for Troy Construction for three summers and two winter breaks. I worked in their Human Resources and Accounts Payable departments. I Interviewed employees to gain understanding of job tasks, and oversaw/executed the creation of Employee Tasks Handbook. While interning, I helped to manage the new hire database and supported Human Resources projects. I also worked closely with the Accounts Payable department, helping to organized and analyzed information to help operations with vendors and subcontractors run smoothly and efficiently. Through this experience I learned many skills such as multitasking, time management, and problem solving.
