Designed and developed pediatric therapy center/clinic for children to receive occupational therapy services, as well as services from related providers (physical therapy, speech therapy, and social skill support). Worked as lead occupational therapist at SenseAbilities, providing individualized occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to clients ages 1 - 17 years, having diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, fine and gross motor coordination disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, visual-perceptual impairment, genetic/chromosomal abnormalities, general developmental delay, and other psychological and neurological conditions. Collaborated with physicians, psychologists, social workers, physical therapists, and speech and language pathologists to ensure holistic treatment planning.Attended and presented at Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings at area schools on behalf of clients to share assessment results, goals, and progress and collaborate with child’s team. Supervised and mentored occupational therapy students. Developed and lead professional continuing education and parent workshops on topics related to child development, fine motor development, motor planning, sensory integration and regulation. * Specialized training in sensory integration treatment and the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum. Provided school-based OT services in a therapeutic school setting to students ages 6-13 with social, emotional and psychological difficulties. Collaborated with teachers, specialists and clinicians to develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Worked with social workers and speech and language pathologist to develop and run social skill and sensory motor groups. Supervised certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs). Presented school staff and OT department with in-services related to handwriting, fine motor skill development, sensory regulation, and sensory motor opportunities.

Evaluated and treated children ages 3-16 in an outpatient hospital clinic setting. Utilized computerized documentation system to obtain intake information, and write evaluations, progress, and discharge notes. Collaborated with department speech and language pathologists and physical therapists for co-treatments and program development. Provided contracted OT services to local school systems, including assessments, IEP goal development, participation in IEP meetings, direct treatment and classroom consultation.

Provided specialized clinic-based and school-based occupational therapy services for children ages 1.5 to 16 years old having diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, visual-perceptual impairment, and general developmental delay. Managed a caseload of up to 35 students through individual treatments, group activities, consultation, home programs, home visits, documentation, meetings, and parent education. Collaborated with IEP teams to establish goals and accommodations. Provided occupational therapy services and consultation as part of an in-house early intervention program. Led an after-school social skills group for girls 8-10 years old, providing pertinent handouts/social stories for parents. Mentored new staff and occupational therapy students during their Level I and Level II fieldwork experiences.

Co-coordinated Camp Escapades, a specialized camp program for children with special needs. Managed the enrollment and registration process for over 250 campers, collaborated with regional centers for camper funding, and helped develop camp programming with a team of physical, speech, and occupational therapists.
