I have worked in the C-Store and Travel Stop business for the past 12 years. I am a proven leader and team builder. I have experience in a smaller private C-Store company as a General Manger as well as a District Manager. I have also large scale travel stop experience in one of the country's largest companies. I am driven, willing to learn, willing to teach what I have learned, and be a part of a great company who values its employees and customers. I have spent the past two years serving as General Manager for Pilot Flying J leading a team of over 30 including the Travel Center, full hot deli, Subway and Cinnabon. Prior to this I spent 3 years at Loves Travel Stops overseeing operations for the Travel Stop, Hardees Restaurant and a Truck Care Center. Under my leadership the store was certified as a Center of Excellence as well as a training store for Operations Managers and General Managers within the District. In January 2020 I was awarded Coach of the Year in my Division of over 70 stores.Prior to Loves, I spent five years working for Fresh Start Convenience Stores a fast-paced growing chain who had 28 stores in South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. I began my career with the company as a store manager of one of the top three most profitable stores. My excellent customer service skills, initiative, dedicated attitude and ability to retain employees presented me with an opportunity for promotion to District Manager after only 18 months as a store manager. As a District Manager I was responsible for the overall direction of eight stores within western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming with an annual sales volume of over $8 million. I ensured success of stores relating to district goals by overseeing managing operations including deciphering budgets, P&L statements, met or reduced payroll and operating expenses and kept up with industry trends. I made loss prevention and merchandise presentation a priority in stores, all while fostering a culture of exceptional customer service. Additionally, I identified growth potential in store employees and trained many to assume store manager positions and other positions within our corporate division.
