I am a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Mechanical Engineering. My main involvement on campus is serving as the President of Illini Solar Car. I am honored to be leading our team in designing, building, and testing solar-electric vehicles that are street-legal and drive thousands of miles international competitions. I am also involved in Women in Mechanical Science and Engineering, Alpha Omega Epsilon, and Society of Women Engineers.This summer, I was an engineering intern at SpaceX working on Starship's Raptor Engine.Last fall, I worked as an engineering intern at SpaceX. I got to own a manufacturing line, make design changes to that part, and weld new prototypes and production components.Last summer, I worked in electrification engineering at John Deere. I enjoyed learning more about the electrical side of engineering and combining it with my mechanical background.Two years ago, I worked as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op at Collins Aerospace in Power & Controls. I enjoyed learning more about how parts that engineers design are created in real life while challenging myself on projects.
