With a deep-rooted passion for education and student development, my journey began as an ELA teacher in the Basehor-Linwood School District, where I spent eight rewarding years working with both middle and high school students. Those years in the classroom allowed me to witness firsthand the transformative power of education and the importance of connecting with students on a personal level.After transitioning from teaching, I found a new home at The Learning Club, where I initially served as the Internship Director. For two years, I had the privilege of guiding and mentoring students through our internship program, helping them gain valuable experience and skills that would shape their futures.Today, I am proud to serve as the Director of Development and Human Resources at Learning Club. In this role, I oversee our fundraising efforts and HR functions, ensuring that we continue to support and expand our programs for students in the Kansas City, Kansas community. I am deeply committed to sharing the incredible work we do at Learning Club and to finding meaningful ways to connect with and support the students we serve.Through each role I've held, my goal has always been the same: to make a positive impact on the lives of students and to contribute to the success of an organization that is doing truly important work in the community. I'm passionate about building connections, whether it's with students, colleagues, or supporters of Learning Club, and I'm always looking for new ways to advocate for and advance our mission.
